Clarens Log Cabin

The Clarens Log Cabin is an authentic Swiss-style log cabin. The ground floor boasts an open plan lounge/dining and kitchen area. Central to the lounge is a large wood burning fireplace. Adjacent the lounge is a large bedroom (with a king size bed) and an en-suite bathroom featuring both a bath as well as a shower. A wrap-around veranda hugs the living spaces and all rooms on this floor open up onto the deck.

The staircase leads to the first floor, where a loft area / study greets you. This loft area overlooks the lounge, and features a desk with plugs that are easily accessible as well as a sleeper couch for an additional guest. Just off this room is the second & smallest bedroom with a queen size bed. Across the hall is a small bathroom with just a shower. Further down the passage, is another small bathroom with a shower. The passage culminates at the Master Suite which comprises an ante-room, a walk in closet, a large bathroom with spa bath & a shower, and separate WC, as well as a large double volume bedroom with its own wood burning fireplace and a private patio overlooking the mountain.

DSTV, WiFi and braai facilities are available. All linen and towels are provided, as well as basic toiletries and dishwashing liquid. The kitchen is equipped with standard appliances (kettle, toaster, microwave, dishwasher). Laundry facilities are available which our staff are happy to assist you with.

The entire property is fenced off with a 1.5m wood & palisade fence for privacy and security, the gate is automated and there is CCTV of the outside areas which can be viewed in the house. Exterior and interior beams provide additional security and the house is serviced by an armed response company. One lock up garage is provided, as well as secure off-street parking for up to 3 cars. Mountain Bikes are available for our guests to use free of charge. Fire wood is also provided at no extra charge and our staff are happy to prepare the fireplaces or the braai for you. A cleaning lady is provided on request, so that you can enjoy y0ur stay as unencumbered as possible. We are happy to accommodate special requests and endeavour to make your stay a memorable one.

Last but not least, we are a pet friendly environment and welcome any well-behaved dogs by prior arrangement. After all, your best friend also deserves a holiday.
